Wazdan gets licence in Michigan
August sports betting in Michigan
Without giving a specific date, the provider announced that their games, including Larry the Leprechaun, Black Horse Deluxe, and 9 Lions, would soon be accessible in Michigan.
Wazdan now holds licenses in three US states, including Michigan.
The Malta-based studio was granted a Lottery iGaming Interim Supplier Licence in West Virginia, six months after receiving a transactional waiver in May of last year from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE).
Following an exclusive aggregation contract with Light & Wonder (formerly Scientific Games), Wazdan said in January that it was "in the process of finalising supplier licences in Michigan and Pennsylvania ".
The studio has expanded its list of regulated markets to include the Netherlands earlier this month. It already includes Malta, the UK, Sweden, Romania, Greece, Estonia, Spain, Lithuania, Latvia, Denmark, Switzerland, Colombia, Portugal, Italy, and Belarus.
"We are very pleased to receive our licence for Michigan, which marks our nineteenth regulated market certification," said Michal Imiolek, chief operating officer at Wazdan MI.
Our games must adhere to the stringent requirements set by the industry's regulators, and we strive relentlessly to achieve this goal. We are excited to get our foot in the door in the state and continue our rapid expansion throughout North America.
