Caesars and the World Series of Poker launch groundbreaking three-state poker pool
The player pools in Michigan, New Jersey, and Nevada will be combined by WSoP and Caesars, an online poker room.
A press statement announced that WSoP Online, formerly WSoP.com, has undergone an upgrade that includes new features such as the ability to host multi-flight re-entry tournaments, four-table capabilities on mobile, and more.
Players from Nevada and New Jersey who already have an account will need to sign up for a new one. Any funds, points, or tickets to tournaments that a player has on file will be automatically transferred to their WSoP Online account when they create a new login. The announcement states that transfers will take place no later than 72 hours after the new platform goes live on May 28. It is necessary to reinstall the WSoP Online software for gamers from Nevada and New Jersey.
You can play Texas Hold 'em and Omaha in a pool.
According to Caesars Digital's vice president of online poker, Danielle Barille, "This platform upgrade is long overdue and is a big win for our players" (emphasis added). "We're ecstatic to welcome players from Michigan, along with Nevada and New Jersey, making for an even better experience, more value, and the largest prize pools of the year."
The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) reports that online poker is offered in Michigan by Caesars, BetMGM, and PokerStars. You can play at PokerStars from multiple states at once.
In April, Caesars sent their request to the regulatory body. The MGCB gave Caesars the go-ahead for them to provide the new format of online poker games, including Texas Hold 'em and Omaha. The MGCB must be consulted for the approval of any new games.
The WSoP registration is now available.
The World Series of Poker (WSoP) Online made its debut the day before the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas locations opened for registration. The site will hold thirty online bracelet events from June 1st to July 21st. Throughout that time, on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, there will be a chance to win an official gold bracelet.
In order to earn a spot in a land-based event, the new platform will also hold "satellite" events. Between June 18th and the 29th, five hybrid events featuring high-rollers will take place on WSoP Online. Starting on July 14th, the last six competitors in each event will compete in a live final in Sin City.
On July 3rd, the live WSoP Main Event will begin, and on July 16th and 17th, the Final Table will be held at the Horseshoe. The previous year's winner, Daniel Weinman, was the first American and took home $2.1 million (£1.6 million/€1.9 million).
